What cars make the best *v6* powertrain doners?

Looking for some certain cars/engines to keep in mind as I browse through the junkyards in the coming weeks for possible v6 swaps for my '85.

Seeing as how my 85 is pretty much entirely stock, I've got the older stock tranny (in excellent shape with no problems), but I think that it wasnt really ever designed to handle the kind of torque I plan on putting through it, so I'll need an entire engine/tranny swap.

I have no problem with fabricating mounts, but keeping it simple would be nice. The electrical harness also doesn't scare me, even if it should

So I guess the real question is whats out there thats reliable, fits well, and produces significantly more torque than my current engine? (4age, the top is silver but I have no idea if its considered a "silvertop", don't know much about whats in there)

SERCH NOOB!

A 1mzfe would be the best imo. It's been done before, so you wouldn't be doing something w/o a helping hand.

After a half hour or so reading up on 1mzfe swaps, I'm finding alot of people making offhand remarks that it's a poor engine if you ever wanted to move on to forced induction.

On that note, I'm curious what other engines would be recommended If I wanted to, say, slap on a supercharger a year later

I'd also be interested in a 6spd tranny, as I find the 5spd I've got now isnt really geared well for highway use, even with the engine I've got. Cruising at 4-5k rpm seems a tad silly to me, when the engine produces enough power to cruise at that speed when in the 2.5-3k range...
