okay well i would tell you to use the search button but i might as well tell you since i am posting. if you have a 4age you can boost it but its a lot of work and you will have very minimal boost. if you have a 4agze you will get a lot better gains and you will be able to boost higher than n/a. if youre just looking for boost then i suggest going 4agze. in order to get a supercharged 4a you are gonna have to swap OR you could put a supercharger on a 4age but once again you will not be able to hold much boost.
best thing for you to turbo is 4agze or a 20v silvertop. |

The silvertop still has higher compression. You wont be able to run that high of boost without problems. If you put the 4agze pistons and rings then you can boost the 20v. I'm actually thinking about turboing my 20v. I'm not sure if I should run low boost, high compression or put the gze low compression pistons in and run higher boost. Running higher boost, you'll need a fuel managment setup. I dont think I'm ready to buy a megasquirt or something like that.

yes but it blew up because my idiot of a best friend was over revving(the tattletale(afc neo) said he was revving to 9200 rpms) and the oil pump failed so it wiped out the bottom end so not boost related but dumb@ss related
i think if someone dont make and good offer by Friday im going to build my .020 block for 11.8 compression and run low boost (5-10psi) and never let rob(a.k.a dumb@ss) dive it again Last edited by donnyavery; 08-12-2009 at 04:16 PM. |
