Front Wheel Bearing

Could someone point me in the right direction for the diy front wheel bearing replacement procedures? (I'm going to use a press, sorry no oven haha.

Howdy Mike

Here is the front axle drawing showing the component parts. (PG FA-07)
The attached following pages 9-12 give the blow by blow account.
No offense to our sponsor but those SST's (Special Service Tool) can be replaced with most other shop tools and equipment.

I had to replace 5-7 of these when I first got my 1989 S/C (racecar) which were priced at $90 each from our sweethearts at South East Toyota.

(KInda curious how much you paid for your bearings?-others might want to know?

Anyway, I finally figured out how to beat Toyota's piss poor engineering and installed greasable zerk fittings into the grease cap, something the cheap ass Toyota engineers
never gave a brain fart about?

Since then, I just pop it w the grease gun before the races and away I go for 15 years without a bearing failure.

I think I mentioned that the Japanese lost WW2 before right?

Hope that new car of yours gives you as many grins as I've gotten in 20 years.

if you went through that many bearings... my guess is that the hub is destroyed..... if the bearing overheats & is too worn, it can cause the hub to wear or warp.... which will kill new bearings....

I got my bearing at kragen/ o'riley for $54.99. I ended up returning it because I got a full set of '89 suspension from a guy on craigslist for $40. He showed me reciepts from when toyota installed new front bearings a year ago. His car was sitting in his backyard on stands from a t-bone to the passenger door. So I ended up just swaping the hub and knuckle out.

I got my bearing at kragen/ o'riley for $54.99. I ended up returning it because I got a full set of '89 suspension from a guy on craigslist for $40. He showed me receipts from when toyota installed new front bearings a year ago. His car was sitting in his backyard on stands from a t-bone to the passenger door. So I ended up just swapping the hub and knuckle out.
