MR2 MK1 t top drainage holes
Hi eveyryone
I recently bought a 1987 MR2 MK1 but the t top is leaking on the passengers left front side, and i believe it is due to a blocked drainage hole. But am unsure where these holes are, is there 2 per side? on each level of the rubber seal? Does anyone have some pictures that they could indicate this to me? Thanks a lot |

i bought new seals from lithia, i also bought the eccentric rod guides. both helped with the leaks but it still gets in. here in VA it rains sideways often so i am sure ill be sittin better back in cali. something i plan on looking into : on a thread i posted askin this popular question, i was directed by someone that if you take the inside of the door pannel off you can adjust the window. there are felt covered pads that can be adjusted to push the windows tighter into the seals. when i try it out ill be sure to update you!

Above the windshield isnt rusted is it? My t-tops dont leak, the roof leaks. I had to put some tape over it as a temperary solution to keep my lap dry.

Door window adjustments
Yeah, there's lots of adjustments inside the door. Here's some photos of my last power window regulator incursion.
Getting the regulator out? Priceless!!! Quote:

It is usally successful the first couple of times you do it. My experience it that it usually lasts for 2-3 months then has to be reaplied. Eventually it will not work anymore but it should buy you an extra 2 or 3 years.
