Grinding on turns
Ok i have the stock tires and rims on my Mr2 1985 and when i drive everytime i turn to fast or go over even a small bump i get a weird sound to me it sounds like my car is farting lol a loud grind sound. Any ideas on how to fix this or what may be the problem i had 18s on my car for like a month and it started when i had those on there so i put the old ones back on and it was fine unless i had a person in the car with me then the weight would push it down obviously and the whole grinding problem happened again just on the front right tire now though

Your Toyota came with 14 in tires if you don't think your having problems running 4" taller tires your in Dreamsville. It just doesn't work that way in Toyotaville.
From your description you need to inspect your rt frt strut for defects, go to the BGB and follow the procedure to determine defects. (Look for oil leakages from the seal.) Try going to stiffer and taller springs if you have this driving? desire to oversize your rim size, but, be ready for a ruff ride. Try dating smaller sized chics dude!!?? |

Ok i said i had em on for a month i realised after the first hard turn the 18's were not gonna work i have the 14in ones back on there and i checked no leakage and its only one side i dont have any problem if im driving by myself but if i have a person in the car the left side were the passenger is sitting grinds on small bumps.... Could it be the shock itself?

Check your caster--both front tires should be the same distance from the back of the wheel well. If one of your strut rods is bent or maladjusted, or if the rubber strut rod bushing has collapsed, it can make the tire be too far forward or back in the wheel well, which will make it rub against the inside on turns. You can make the rough adjustment just with a tape measure and a couple of wrenches.
