oil pressure any please

when i first got my 86 mr2 blue top i hade to change the oil so i used 10w40 catsrol oil well my car is unopperational due to my dumbass and my suspended license so cant realy move it well back to the point the oil pressure woul be practicly were the H is. now all of a sudden the oil pressure guage dont even budge when i turn on the car wanted to know WHATS UP WITH THAT got no oil leaks and the car idles great oil is new im stumped any advice will be aprreciated

Most likely your gauge went kaput, but it's possible for an oil pump to fail (more likely the oil pump pickup sucked up something that plugged it). A car will seem to idle fine for a few minutes without oil pressure. Borrow a mechanical oil pressure gauge and hook it up, verify you have oil pressure. If so, fix your gauge or install a mechanical gauge permanently.

probably some animal got in the engine bay and chewed the wire or knocked it loose.

it's a yellow wire with a black line that comes between the valve cover and the timing backing plate (passenger side..... ) and down the exhaust side of the motor. Oil pressure sensor is 1/2 way down the block and is about 1" diameter and sticks out about 1" from the block....
