I honestly only spent less than $100 on my set up.

Projectors off audi my friend wrecked: Free (Integra lights 94+ are cheap sources of projectors to use. Plus there are lots of them at the junk yard).

Conversion housing ebay:$25
HID kit Ebay kit: $50
Less than four feet of 8 gauge wire: less than a dollar i suppose
Silicone Sealant: $3

It's just time consuming. I'm not trying to harp on anybody about their set up. Some people on this board are real nazi's about other peoples cars and hid's. I'm just speaking from my own experience. Remember I did say that I had HID's without projectors or proper housings and that I was pulled over and ticketed for it. I had the lights aimed to the lowest setting and far enough to the right. It's just to some cops if it don't look right you get pulled over. I have friends that have HID's without the right set up and some get away with it just fine. I'm just trying to say for some it might not be worth it too get pulled over. The theme of my post was how to avoid being pulled over. But I am a real HID lover proper housing or not, I just wish the cops would get off our case about them.

I'll try to get some pictures of my lights up asap.

Actually I think that one of the cheapest easiest ways to get an HID system is to actually get HID bulbs for your fog lights and Sylvania Silverstar sealed beams for your headlights. As long as you don't get anything above 5K the lights will look kinda similar, and if you get pulled over (nobody gets pulled over for HID's in their fog lights if they're not super blue) just tell them that all the lights on your car are silverstars which are DOT approved. HID's work great in the fog lights too and the ballasts are easier to mount.

First picture is low beam shot at a distance and on an angle.

Second picture is low beam close to a wall.

Third picture is high beam.

Just wanted to add a picture of my new panel.

The picture quality is pretty terrible. But I just wanted to illustrate what a good set up looks like. It was raining when I took these so the light is a bit distorted due to that fact. Note the steep cutoff on the beam. Like I said before this cost me less than $100 to create. I don't think a cop would even look twice at my lights they look stock. But to each his own.

As you got the projector lights for free--that was a good budget helper--but they don't look too cheap on Ebay. $150.00 with shipping, see here. If I am looking at the wrong Integra headlights, let me know.

Well junk yards are a lot cheaper. I can get a pair of the integra projectors for thirty at my local junk yard if they got them in stock. The integra projectors are usually what I use to retrofit all my friends headlights since they're usually available and pretty cheap. The cutoff isn't as great on them but the beam is very tight and the housings are really easy to work with.

thanks.. ah.. no .. I need to get a battery, muffler, and a few other things for it now. Plus I have to fix my other car first.
