i believe they are 1/4" ID. get about 5 or 6 feet (clear) and just cut in half.

ok so I have a question....are they really THAT nessicary? last time i burped my cooling system I didnt even use them i just left the plug open and when it was a steady streem i closed it and kept refilling the neck every so often....then when it was all bled i drove around the block and redid all the steps to double check...does this not get all the air out?

The hoses are there to allow you to bled the system without spilling coolant all over the car and paint. For instance the heater bleed valve would dump coolant directly into the frunk..... Needed not exactly per say but cleaner yes.

i think in order to level out the system and push all the air out they should be used. i'm not saying it can't be done without them but i think there is less room for error with them and they are cheap so why not , plus it could get pretty messy as mentioned above.
