when i put on the cone filter, is hooking up the A/c Idle-line to it a must or is that optional?

i believe you need it although maybe it could be capped if your not using a/c. do you have a/c?

which vsv is that green one anyway? i have it and a plug on my harness but havnt found a need for it

i thought the ac idle up was the bigger solinoid on the drivers fender well with the white adjusting screw?

the adjustment is but that's the VSV for the a/c idle up.

Well, there is the VSV to engage the system when the compressor kicks on and then the "white adjusting screw" which is used to control the change in RPM.
