the rattle happens cause the cupholder is (was) bouncing. Now that it has some foam between the floor hump and the cupholder the rattle is gone. If the bracket simply lowered the entire cupholder off the seat about 1/3 inch so it was resting there it would also alleviate the problem. The up bounce is also a concern as mentioned, so it would be best to have it more secure to the seat with some of the front screws and some spacer solution, I agree.

Scott- my floormats are jkoller's repro and I ordered them from twosrus, yes. The seats/door cards/sunvisors were recovered by a previous owner back in 1999 at a place in Memphis...
