Where would you mount it in a Mk1? Under passenger seat?

I think that is a picture of one of the cupholders I built. I'll see if I can find any other pics.
I've pulled the cupholders from every 1/2 din toyota in the local bone yard. They all fit so far. I've got mine under the passenger seat. It's been working well for quite awhile now.

cup holders no offense but cmon.haha. who needs those. i use the compartment in between the passenger and drivers head.lol. if anything i think its nice not to have them because it makes me not bring drinks or food to spill in my car even though the interior is not the best anyway.lol

I've got quite a few of the bracket kits, but only one of the old cupholders left. I'm not sure how well they would fit in a Mk1. Pm me with an address and I'll ship it to you. If it fits then you can pay me.

This is the kit

Thanks for the interest.
YellowJacket is going to install his before I sell any more to MK1 owners. I don't want to sell anything that won't work for you. They work great in a MK2, just not sure about a MK1.
I asked him to take plenty of pictures of the install.

Gosh- now the pressure is on... guys, know that this fall is busy busy for me and I will try my best to get to this sooner than later... I have vacation time in December so thats worst case... but if I can get a nice dry weekend coming up (we have had SO much rain over weekends) then I will pull the passenger seat and do it in the driveway sooner.... stay tuned!
