Alternator?

It started as the common dash light flicker when pressing brakes/using signals. So I figured, okay I will replace the ground cable with a new....

Now before changing the cable my volt meter would bounce from 14/13 to 13/12... however once turn sigs were off it would go back to 14/13.

After replacing the cable I get a steady 13v charge until I use the brake/turns now the voltage goes to from 13 to 12v. *if I'm using the headlights as well it goes from 13 to 11/11.5 when using the above mentioned items.

Could this be an issue with the alternator or perhaps my positive cable? Other then this issue no 3 warning lights as most describe when the alt is failing/failed.

I have a spare alternator that I am going to test to ensure its good, just thought I would ask opinions.

both use "F" ground

Both systems use the "F" ground at the inside of the trunk opposite the license. ????
