Check your local junkyard for any car with a 4age engine. 1983-1993 Corollas are pretty common.

are they the same for all of the cars? I have a silvertop 20v that is chipped where the timing mark is, are they interchangable?

If so I'm going to transfer the timing mark from my origional one to the 20v pulley and I can sell u my old one

My understanding is they will all fit but are not strictly speaking interchangeable--the crankshaft is the same (except for the rod journals on your 20v, which won't make a difference here). The diameter and timing marks may vary. You may have to make your own timing mark to get your engine in time, possibly a different belt.

i dont run hte accessorys and I looked at the diameter of the water pump part and it is the same size. I'd think that if both engines were 10 degrees they'd be the same cuz 10 degrees is 10 degrees...bah who knows

The mark is not necessarily at the same place, but if you hold the two balancers next to each other you should be able to tell, and make your own mark if necessary.

+1 for junkyarding it.
if you cant find something with a 4age in it then you must live in kansas.

the following have 4age engines as far as i know:

85-87 corolla gt-s
85-88 mr2 (obviously)
late 80's chevy nova. (yes you read that correctly)
early ninety's corolla fx-16, and the ae92 sedans.

their out there man, good luck.

some.

but the corolla's that had 4age's were ONLY the gts cars (with the exception of the FX16... that is not a "gts" trim but has a 4age in it). the harmonic balances for the 4age's will work in any MR2 or FWD corolla with a 4age in it, in the US. Pointers & timing marks change based on year of the car.

you can't use a 4afe/7afe because the belt ribbings are different and they also rub on the backside of the timing cover.
