Short Ram Intake

So i took the long tubing out and replaced it with the direct element air filter. Right after i finished the set up, i tried to start the car, it dies a few seconds after starting, WHAT GIVES?

anyone know what i can do to fix this mess?

just to let everyone know, he ordered a new afm off e-bay, should fix his problem (we were all talking in the chat room)

well, he took the afm apart with the screws and bent some stuff in there, he didn't know to use the clip instead.

yeah, and now the guy is saying he is going to wait 4 days to send it, I need one ASAP!!! anyone have one i can buy? 1987 MAF??

i donno, cuz he is a dumbass, It pisses me off because i have work and i cant bother my girlfriend for a ride everywhere. All i know is i have to wait 4 days, then probably another 4 for it to get my way (its comming from east coast, all the way to San Jose, CA). Im pretty freakin pissed.

This guy sounds like a nub.
He should be able to have that to you in two days.
Every computer part Ive ordered has come from Cali all the way here to NY and I always get it in 2-3 days.

yeah, your telling me. So once its plugged up it should be good and run fine right? (it did BEFORE this problem struck)

Yeah, i got it the DAY AFTER it was due at my house, it worked fine, car fired up (after charging the battery) which also needs to be replaced. Yeah, after all this i DONT recomend using DHL, they lied to me OPENLY over the phone 3 times, for me to find out that my package (which they said was due at my door frist at 12noon, then 5pm) NEVER LEFT THE FRIGGIN SHIPPING PLANT! These guys suck, stickin with UPS or USPS
