The 85 and 86 AFM don't have a 75" pipe flange on the intake side of the AFM. The flange from a 87 & up AFM could be screwed onto one of the older ones. Electronically I believe they are all interchangeable, except for the SC models.

Ebay of course. Ebay regularly has them on auction. Junkyards are also a source, but they will tend to charge more. These parts seldom go bad, so its not a part you absolutely have to go a Toyota Dealer and pay (guessing) $700. for.

Close, the dealer wanted more upwards of $890 for the MAF, and a $200 core charge, which brings the grand total to $1090, which you have to be smokin crack to want to pay that much.

Let's see some Toyota corporate math:
17 AFM's = One 2006 Matrix with AC, CC, PW, AT, PDL:, etc. Alrighty then, that makes perfect sense. What was I thinking? |

Did you test your AFM with an ohmeter? Because if you haven't, the odds are some other gadget at fault.

Well, i KNOW its the MAF, because my neighbor (mechanic) unscrewed the sensor mount ON the MAF, therefor destroying the sensor relays and all the other goodies the MAF has in it.
