bad Clutch?

I finaly got the MAF, and my car is up and running again, but i think my clutch might be worn, or wearing out. If i let the car drop to 1k RPM in 1st, it will just keep goin, it wont stall out, just creeps REALLY slow, but never stalls. Im probably in the right here, but this IS a symptom of a ****ted out clutch is it not (and there is a lack of power to the wheels, even with the RPM's climbing)

If you're pushing on the throttle with the clutch engaged and hear the engine revving but you're not moving, then yeah your clutch is slipping and is probably shot.

No i mean, i just dont touch ANYTHING at low RPM's, no gas, no clutch, just my hands on the wheel and it keeps moving at 1k rpm's in 1st. When i accelerate normally, the rpms climb fine, the car just feels SLOW

Bah, I just missed you in the chat room.

When the clutch is just starting to go you'll feel it slip a little bit, especially at higher RPM.

So the engine is bogging under acceleration but then it seems to come out of it and rev normally.

This seems more to be a timing/EFI/ignition issue. It definetly is NOT your clutch.

Idle problems don't necessarily mean timing.

Hell if its not the timing, its probably the distributor. I'll get the tuneup and we'll see what happens

I'm not saying it's NOT timing, just saying that there are more possible causes than just timing.

If you creep in gear with no gas thats normal. Your engine idle will creep you with no gas.

If it just "feels slow" it could just need a tuneup.

Its a MK1 right?

hey guys me again just writing to see is there any way to make it easier to go between gears ie ( not the clutch but the actual stick sliding inbetween gears)

What do you mean? Do you have to fight your gear lever to get it between gears? Does it come in and out of gear ok?

If not, you might just need to adjust your clutch itself.
