Sell me the engine lid? I'll send you my NA one too! It's kind of rusty, so that means weight reduction!

They look like cheap knockoff wheels... which are generally heavy. No offense btw.

huge is not good unless you actually have the brakes that require wheels that large.... otherwise you're pushing around more mass than what's needed.

The triangles are not nice, unless you are going to remove that kit, raise it up, and go for that retro look.

The triangles are also heavy, and they are only 14".

People have different tastes, that's all.

alright, so heres a few things:

i didnt get too far into it, but yes, the wheels are huge, and they seem to weigh about 2500 lbs all together, then again maybe ill have a better feel for it when theyre off the car toldja i didnt get too far into it i kinda like the wheels, but they are scuffed nd i could use cash right now, we will have to see.

my main concern now is a slow crank even when on a 200amp supply and the fact that my compression is all over the place (60,100,100,50) and it supposedly made a metallic clanking sound when he was doing 60mph down a highway. im thinking bearings, but that doesnt explain the compression, maybe ringlands? the oil does smell like fuel...

yes, that is a carbon fiber ricey ass frunk, but ill leave it for now

heres a secret: the metal frame from the stock frunk is still under it, and it doesnt line up right. ehh ya get the good and the bad. i have a rusty 2 that wont die and a pretty 2 thats GZE swapped and it doesnt run.

I've gotta admit, the body kit doesn't look half bad. I would like it better if the sides were a little more subtle though.

i would, but it matches the rest of the car. and its part of the skirts beside the engine lid. so no can do bud.

plus, i want to make it into an intake somehow. i think i can with some pvc pipe. nobody will know. theres a weapon R filter that has the side air intake like a normal cone air filter, and then has an attachment for a hose to go in the tip of it for some rice-air action. but it will be functional, and not disturb the airflow of the engine bay at least

alright. finally i had a few hours.

today was a safari. i ordered rod bearings, pan gaskets, etc. i go to the garage the cars at and i remove the exhaust, a bracket near the SC bracket that did nothing at all, and the oil. i pulled the pan from my other engine because i knew this one was dented. i remove the pan on the car, number 4 area of the bottom end is black.

i started with #1 and worked my way down. drop the cap, remove bearing, install new- WAIT A MINUTE! they gave me the 85-86 sized bearings that are smaller. now what do i do?

i went to my spare engine and pulled those bearings. they were all good for clearances so i was ok with that, for now at least for a temporary fix. so i removed those bearings, put them in, they snapped in and fit like they were supposed to- snugly.

i did the same with 2 and 3. when i got to 4, i couldnt get the cap off. it was almost welded on so i took a rubber hammer to the stud, it broke free, used the cap from the other engine because this one was all jacked up. there was a sliver of bearing about as thick as a piece of tin foil in it. just one. THERES MY KNOCK! so i put the last set of bearings in, torqued the caps to the recommended 36 ft lbs, and put it all back together. put oil in it, etc. by the way, NA engines have an oil line from the pan. SC engines, or at least mine, do not. plug it with the drain bolt from the dented pan.

a pocket screwdriver helped me with my endeavors, getting the bearings out. i pushed them to the side a bit and they popped out. it knocks a bit still, but nowhere near how it was. it is now drivable, but not daily drivable. i cant wait til tomorro to drive it a bit more. i just took a run around the parking lot.
