The "probe" everyone is refering to is the MKII. Just to clarify for those of you that think it is the ford probe.

I have an '86 that's undergoing surgery again (and has been for quite some time) and will soon have an SC based motor in it - with lots of goodies... Just a note, boosted NA motors don't last very long @12 psi with rough tunes ^_^

Sometimes I wonder. I started a Mark 1 fitment set up thread in the Wheels forum and no one has contributed their wheel set ups to it since it was created over a year ago. Why, I don't know.

85 na hear. Hopefully to have it running soon. My 87 was a blast to drive until the oil cooler return line returned my oil all over the ground. I found out at 7400 rpm with a loud thunk.

Got it running last night. 15 seconds counts, right!?

Just an update...I have a 86 Mk1 again. And it is more fun than my Mk2 most of the time...the exception being when you want to blast from 60-120 and back to 60 to get away from some dumbass on the interstate....oh....and pkcking up chicks. But I'm married now anyway.

AW11
Built November 1987
Japanese Import
4A-GZE supercharged engine
Got to love the targa roof.
(Allegedly) 155,000km
...and, um, Automatic, but with Overdrive and a special button marked "PWR"!!!

Only had it since January, replaced the oil last week and the coolant this week. Absolutely lovin' it.

A few mods. Nevo pulley, TRD Kevlar clutch, Fidanza flywheel, HKS intake, Nology wires, Eibach/Illumina suspension, and a bunch of other stuff that I can't remember right now.

Glad to see the new board. Hope it lasts along time.

Like those? Probably someone who can work with fiberglass and will take a large sum of your money to copy them. Only seen pictures, and never anyone selling them. Seen lots of the Toms style ones (snorkel), but never the full side ones. Wouldn't do a whole lot besides look pretty and cause you some drag.

86 with rebuilt original engine. FWD transaxle with much higher gear ratio. Put 13K miles on her last year and averaged 36MPG doing it.

Red face On the Road Again

I am resurrecting my MR2 MK1 SC. I garaged it after I bought my Cadillac (hey I'm old give me a break) but I miss the little scooter so I'm putting it back on the road. cherry, orange pearl rocket ship.

I am the original owner of a 1986 MR2 non-turbo. I don't know all of the jargon so I don't know about sc and na...but I do know that I love my little car.
