TED Component KK294 cams, 4AG(Z)E, near new
Item Location: Redmond, WA

Virtually brand new TED Component KK294 cams for the 4AG(Z)E. 7.95mm valve lift, and 244 degrees total duration. They come in original boxes and packing with spec sheet, and 'Kamakazee Kams' decal. Bought before deciding to use HKS 256 degree cams for my '89 SC. Ran them in the SC for about one hour, while testing a new HKS exhaust, and then removed. If I don't sell them. I'll probably end up putting them in my '87 NA at some point.
Ran great in the SC after some modest timing adjustments. Unfortunately, a small oil leak and need for a transmission repair eventually led me to a complete teardown and rebuild. With too much time to think about things, I decided to use some HKS 256 cams instead. They modified their cams a few years back, without telling anyone, by switching to slightly different intake cam to exhaust cam profiles, and also slightly different cam lobe profiles. Those changes might help give me just a teeny bit smoother idle, and save me a little bit on cam timing. The differences will probably be really small, but I'm curious to find out.

T.E.D. uses chilled cast manufacturing (the best). Cams both come with distributor gears, so you could possibly break the set up and use individually as either intake or exhaust cam with different lift/duration cam in the other position. TED makes them this way to save on cost, which makes sense, since virtually all 4age cams use the same profile for both intake and exhaust.

They are pretty much identical to the old Web #294 cams, which explains their name. The #294's were a well repescted cam, with just enough lift and duration to help out the top end, but not really mess up the bottom end while doing it.

Pick-up (Redmond, WA area), or ship (PM me for shipping info, prefer to use UPS).
For sale (pair): $450.00
