WTB Speed sensor off the trans

I broke my speed sensor during my swap, so I'm looking for a replacement. (manual trans)

I had one guy PM me about his- if that deal falls through I'll let you know. This is a mechanical speed sensor.

Still looking for the sensor, anybody have one? Even the local auto parts centers don't have one, and I don't want to spend $100+ at the stealership.

I have one. Im doing a mk1.5 swap and i, of course, dont need it. Its off an 87 mr2, manual trans. It was working fine when i took the motor out.

I just grabbed a sensor from a guy yesterday, so looks like I'm all set here.

just a slight warning you might have to drill/beat the old one out of the trany. they can be very dificult to remove from a crusty trany. we use dent pullers to remove most of them.

My current trans is missing one entirely. It's just kind of a hole now.

lucky i spent 2 hours removeing one last week. be sure to lube the new one up very well

If I was lucky the trans I installed would have just had a speed sensor already in it.

And yeah, I'll be sure to lube it up before sticking it in.
