Need Speedo Assembly / Gear

Anyone have the speedo gear / assembly that goes into the transmission ...

its held in with one 12mm bolt .. dont need the angled piece, just the long piece with the gear and the key to attach it to the angled piece

dont know if it makes any difference but its for a 89 supercharged .. I did buy a new one years ago but ended up putting it in my mk2 turbo a while back then sold the car

email me at adrianmullins@bellsouth.net

Thanks

I bought the shaft with the plastic cog at the end of it . . . new . . . through a friend who had dealer contacts.

They are not too spendy. . . . you might try Te51 Levin, he works at a dealer parts department in Oregon.

The angled cogs inside the outside piece that bolts on .. . . could be stuck, or gummed up. Run some WD40 and brake cleaner through it followed by oil and agitate with a drill. Mine was frozen solid, but I got it working somehow.
