91 Swap, built engine, Gram Lights, amazing car!
Vehicle Location: Atlanta, GA Vehicle Price: $13,500 Vehicle Odometer: 207,XXX So here's the short story, you can contact me if you are interested and I'll be happy to go into as much detail as you wish.
Originally bought in 2000 all original 5SFE with 134,000 miles. Swapped in 2004 to a 92 JDM 3SGTE supplied by Jarco with 156,000Km (~9X,XXX miles) harness from kick panel back installed including turbo fuel pump Christmas of 2006 the entire engine was rebuilt (over $3,000 in parts) The Engine JDM Gen 2 3SGTE Bored .020 with JE forged pistons OEM rods Balanced rotating asembly ARP rod bolts Clevite bearings Toyota OEM gaskets and o-rings (every last one!) USDM head fully rebuilt, spec'd, and assembled KO 2.5" downpipe with bracket (mint shape...no signs of cracks) Departure Pro II exhaust New cold start switch New OEM ECU coolant temp sensor New OEM gauge coolant temp sensor New OEM oil and water pump New OEM thermostat New OEM coolant hoses front and rear (every last one!) New OEM Turbo radiator NGK BKR7E's New OEM wires, cap, and rotor button Berk Technology intercooler kit K&N cone filter bolted to AFM New turbo intake elbow CT26 with 46Trim Enterior Mercedes Benz "superblack" respray in 2003. Border urethane front bumper Diamond clear corners 94+ taillights (bought brand new from partznet...still mint!) TOMS sideskirts with step fins OEM turbo engine lid Suspension Megan Racing coilovers (1.5 years old) IROTORS.com drilled and slotted rotors (na brakes) Earls SS brake lines Axxis brake pads High&Tight suspension bushings Gram Lights 57Pro 17x7 +25mm and 17x8 +40mm BFGoodrich Gsports 215/40/17, 245/40/17 Interior 2006 model Alpine headunit with CD Autometer Phantom mechanical boost gauge Autometer Phantom electronic oil pressure gauge (not completely installed) ebay Bride steering wheel MOMO hub adapter authentic TRD short shifter with TRD ball knob white face gauges Infinity Reference 6.5" components Infinity Reference 3.5" speakers in rear OEM location. There is alot I'm probably forgetting. The car won BEST OF SHOW MR2 at NOPI in 2004. Not saying NOPI is a measure of caliber It has been daily driven for the past 7 years except for the few months of the swap and then the rebuild. . Approx. 20,000 miles after the rebuild the compression reads normal. The CT26 rebuild is going out and burns quite a bit of oil. I plan to swap in a CT20B within the week. Radiator fans are always on (front sensor needs to be replaced) so the car is cold natured...you shouldn't be dogging it when its cold anyway IMO.All work on the car including the paint was done by family. My uncle owned a body shop and my father has 30yrs of mechanic experience. Thanks to this car I have become an awesome mechanic myself...it was truly a learning experience. Point blank I love this car to death, but I'm tired of a modified car for a daily driver. Unless I can make some financial swaps quickly I have to sell in order to purchase another car. I will truly miss the car. You can search and see that I've posted it for sale a few times and always get cold feet. Because of this the price is pretty firm and I'd rather not hear your opinion so keep quiet. Leave this thread for potential buyers...not critics. Thank you. -Kyle ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by MR2TRD1; 06-14-2008 at 12:09 AM.. |
