1991 Toyota MR2 Turbo-Original turbo car-not a swap

Up for sale is my lightly modified 1991 toyota MR2 turbo, the car is for sale for $7,500. I am the third owner of this MR2. I was told by the previous owner that the car was in Texas since 2002. I bought the car with 92,000 miles on it and it has lived in my garage for over 3 years.

I. Details:

It has 96,000 original miles and is not a swapped car, original USDM turbo. I painted the car Porsche Slate Grey Metallic, it is a two-stage paint and clear coat, all urethane paint. The car has never been buffed or even waxed OR wet sanded since it was painted. The car as you can see has Tom's side skirts and a Tom's front bumper as well as a carbon fiber hood.

Factory Options:

Power windows, locks, cruise control, tilt wheel, black leather

II. Engine: Mild Modifications

The engine is mostly stock with only the following additions which I feel are all quality modifications from reputable vendors/manufacturers and have never given me any problems:
-TwosRus Manual Boost Controller
-TwosRus Gas Engine Lid Prop Rod
-TwosRus Hex Key Valve Cover Bolts
-ATS Throttle Body Inlet (I polished this piece even more)
-HKS (Jasma) Turbo Exhaust
-Glow-in-the-Dark Valve cover by Jazzcornet
-Polished Hot Pipe
-Wire-brushed Intake Manifold
-Wire-Brushed Water Neck Inlet

Replaced Engine parts:

-Full stock rebuild of the motor, all seals and gaskets replaced 400 miles ago
-Rings and bears were replaced and the block was honed, still within stock spec
-All Ignition components within 3000 miles~400 miles ago
-resealed and inspected water pump and oil pump~400 miles ago
-Rebuild alternator~400 miles ago

III. Suspension Modifications:

-Tein S-Tech lowering springs (these springs are ensured genuine Tein and not knock-off brand.)
-KYB AGX strut inserts, 4-way adjustible with boots

IV. Interior Modifications:

-Speedsource shift knob to match exterior paint color
-Short-throw shifter
-Auto-up AND down driver side window modification

The rest of the interior is stock, cd storage box is also included as well as a sony cd player. However, there is no power antennae

V. Other Details:

This car once had a trunk mount intercooler (before rebuild motor). At one time the trunk flooring was cut out. Since then there has been a thick gauge sheet metal piece welded and pop-riveted on the floor.

The front stock bumper support which ties the two front frame rails together is not on the car. Instead there has been a thick gauge box-steel bar running across where the support did. This was done to ensure fitment of the toms front bumper...many people "shave" the stock re-enforcement but that makes little sense to me to alter that part. I am not sure of the safety risk, however, I feel I should tell the potential buyer so they can make there own judgement.

I do have the stock turbo strut bar and have since re-installed this part.

Well I've been checking around for sites and asking around on parts and what not and I love you're car. I personally would offer 6.2k? Or so? if that is to low please let me know I really hope to work something out. As you can see I'm from SD and from SD to OH real long drive :P. So if we can work something out that is why I was wondering if you would travel with the car. Not the whole way but maybe we could meet or something so I could farther examine you're MR2 and hopefully take it home if I'm lucky! Kanoodle, its a good sign you had to ask that because that means the door jams and the engine bay has been painted as well. The original color was crimson red...I was not liking it.

Jrdn2, by SD do you mean South Dakota? I received your email and I would really like you to at least look at the car in person so you are sure. If you would like to me to deliver the car if it doesn't sell by Friday do some research for me for a delivery service and see how much it would be to ship. The car looks BETTER in the pictures than in person! I would hate you to see the primer over spray on the doors and the orange peel from not wet sanding or buffing the paint on the car and think you got a completely different car! Plus, I really want you to see where the front bumper support use to be and the box-steel piece I put in place of it so i could fit the front bumper on the car...it does effect the safety of the vehicle and I'm letting everyone know whos interested (and in some cases the parents of the ones interested) that this car has altered DOT equipment.

Hi Luni! That is a speedsource shift knob, I got it to match the exterior paint. I also forgot to mention that I also have TwosrUs brass shifter bushings.
