1994 MR2 GT-S Turbo (Rev 3)
Vehicle Location: Isle of Wight, UK
Vehicle Price: £3595
Vehicle Odometer: ~61544

The Mrs has decided that she wants a change, so the MR2 Turbo is up for grabs. It's a very clean car, not perfect, but excellent generally for its year. Engine oil changes have been done regularly (by me) with Silkolene Pro-S 10W50 as recommended by Oilman. Filter changed at same time. Gearbox oil changed ~6000 miles ago.

The salient points of the car as follows:
  • Mileage calculations:
    • KM when imported in 2002 = 60198 (converts to 37405 miles)
    • Now reading 84337 (84337-60198=24139 miles since conversion to MPH)
    • Current mileage therefore ~61544 miles (obviously not provable)
  • Manual 5-Speed
  • Revision 3 (the good one)
  • Climate control
  • Electric windows/mirrors
  • Aircon (works!)
  • Cat 1 Alarm with remote locking
  • Tax end Oct 08
  • MOT May 09
  • Pearlescent Green (looks almost black from certain angles, metallic green in sunlight)
  • New battery Aug 07
  • New Toyota/Bilstein struts (Feb 08)
  • 8x18 Alujet Binno B1000 alloys in Dark Diamond finish (virtually unmarked)
  • Near-new front tyres (215x35x18)
  • Brand-new rear tyres (235x40x18)
  • Apexi Titanium single-exit exhaust (single exit rear panel fitted)
  • Blitz BOV
  • Running standard boost (always has to our knowledge)

Starts on the key every morning, rain or shine. Genuine car, no rust, clean as a whistle underneath, some minor stonechips. £3095 ono.

Are you sure? Surely it'll cost a fortune! I've never exported a car from the UK before, don't even know what's involved.

Why not just drive somewhere and meet each other? Don't you guys have amazing transportation infrastructures capable of interconnecting the entire continent?

PS: Why are you letting your wife convince you to get rid of your BEAUTIFUL MR2?

You tell your wife NO! If I wasn't a poor college student financially burdened by a weakened U.S. economy and loan payments, I'd move to the UK just to be with that car. It's got low miles, hardly any interior wear, and sound body work. Please tell us she's not making you replace it with a mundane mobile...

Just a heads up but they won't allow you to bring it back to the states! the only year you can bring back is a 91. I checked into it a while back before I bought the one I am fixing up!
