The pictures speak for themselves on this. The bad -No fog lights. I have the lights, but the mounts are broke off. -Dash is warped from the top (very common). Most people never notice it until it is pointed out. -Antenna doesn't retract (very common) -AC doesn't work, all components are connected, and I even swapped in a working compressor, but I never bothered to charge it. -The muffler tips got SLIGHTLY out of round fro the moving trailer. -There is a small paint scrape under the passenger side air duct, please see pics. The built longblock motor and transmission ALONE (not including turbo) were over $5,000, not to mention everything else. I have a receipt folder about 3 inches thick with every receipt from the car. This car runs A+. I purchased the MR2 in 04/2008 for $9750 and have put roughly $1000 into it since (exhaust, door panels, carpet, wing, etc). My reason for selling is that I am moving across the country, and do NOT want to move this car, my truck, and my girlfriends Accord. I can not sell my 4Runner for anything near what I paid for it, so I am forced to sell the MR2. As far as condition, please see my pictures. Mechanical condition is tip-top. This MR2 can be driven across the US without any trouble at all, none. The motor runs like a top, transmission shifts butter smooth EVERY time. Car handles and all accessories function, with the exception of the AC, as they should. I replaced the Climate Control unit, and the AC button is near mint on it. The windshield was also replaced about 500 miles ago, crystal clear. More information on this MR2 can be found here: MR2 Owners Club Message Board™ The mr2 currently has 106k miles. Please let me know if you have any questions. Last edited by mpa4712; 12-01-2008 at 02:36 AM.. |

To answer a few questions I've gotten already:
1. The paint is NOT shipping from the hood. That is just some dirt from the lovely Las Vegas rain. The car has since had a bath. 2. Rust. There is ONE spot of rust on the entire car, and it is just light surface rust just below the drivers side door. 3. The title will come with a bill of sale, which can be used to register/title the car at any DMV. 4. This car has no cats. 5. The only item in the car that does not work is the trunk release latch. The cable is there (which works), but needs inserted into the lever. The key will open the trunk (master key). The gas door release lever works just fine. 6. T-Top leaking: I have only experienced any sort of leakage when going through a high pressure car wash. I got about 8-10 drips on my shoulder, so a very small amount. 7. As mentioned, there are no fluid leaks of any sort on the car. The motor does NOT burn any oil. 8. Yes, you may come and test drive the car. I work from home so I can work around anyone's schedule who would like to test drive the car. |
