94T - 137k - White
Vehicle Location: Central Texas
Vehicle Price: 12.5k
Vehicle Odometer: 137k

I leave for school in New York in less than 3 weeks and this has to be gone before then. My time is short and I'm more and more motivated to get her to a good home. She is a fantastic car that will make another MR2 enthusiast quite happy. Here's the skinny:

Car has both ABS and power steering.

The Good:
- It's a 94 turbo
- Black and tan interior in really nice shape
- Paint is in great condition
- Totally stock, never been modified in the least bit
- Runs very strong and drives well
- Barely broken in with 137k miles
- T-tops don't leak
- 26-29 mpg

The Bad:
- Needs new shocks (drives fine, but after nearly 140k miles, it's time for new ones)
- Needs alignment.
- Needs new tires (Dunlop SP9000's front and SP8000's back have about 50% tread, but they're old, 2003, and need replacing anyways.)
- Fender, door, and quarter panel have all been replaced on the passenger side. All 3 were separate incidents and the work seems to have been pretty decent.
- Worn spot on driver side carpet (I have no idea how this was made, but it's there. I'll get a pic of it soon)
- Glove box is scratched up. I've tried to procure one from the board with no luck, but I may just swap out the one from my 93.
- Typical separation of the dash from the defrost vent beneath the windshield. I was initially going to fix it, but now that I'm selling, I'm not particularly interested in pulling the dash to repair it.
- Couple scrapes around the edges of the front lip
- C-pillar trim moulding where it meets the body is a bit out of alignment.
- Passenger window doesn't quite make it to the top without opening the door first. I think it's more of an alignment issue. Only the rearward corner of the window is shy by 1/4 inch maybe. Probably wouldn't be noticed if it weren't for the added wind noise.
- Center caps need repainting. If I have time to get to it, that will be fixed.
- Window tint is less than perfect.
- Car shifts just fine, but the action isn't as smooth as it should/can be. Tranny fluid needs replacing.
- Original clutch. Feels fine right now, but it's worth noting that it's original.

I've made an effort to list every piddling little thing I can find wrong with the car so that folks that can't test drive or just come on over to look at it can get a good idea of what to expect. I've listed quite a few bad things, but the good far outweighs that bad. The car drives wonderfully and looks even better.

VIN: JT2SW22N8R0089334

Carfax results:
-Bought in Plano, Tx
-front damage at 00000 miles
-impact right front side at 68728 miles
-impact right rear at 86119 miles

Pics:

More pics in the next post.

I'll update the post as need requires and time allows. Between school and work, I haven't been able to cruise the boards quite as much as I'd like.

$8.5k obo. I would prefer a local buyer, but would gladly sell to out of state as long as you arrange the shipping or pick it up yourself. I'm moving soon and I really need her to go to a good home.

Car is located about 25 min from Austin.

LOL, it is the same car, i just saw a post on the mr2 owners club board. theres nothing wrong with making some money on cars but, really! come on at least be resonable about it. you might try ebay, maybe there you'll find some desperate person looking for a 94-95 model mr2 that doesnt know anything about forums, where to find one, or a reasonable price. sorry to bash your thread, i just cant stand people trying to make a buck this way, especially now with the economy. good luck with the sale.

12.5 is a reasonable price for a CLEAN 94 Turbo if not maybe just a little high. this looks to be clean, lower miles than most and it is again a 94 turbo. now for the average person, 12.5 k is alot for a 94 but for people that know these and love them the way that this community does, its worth it. i have seen 94's and 95's with 100,xxx going for 15-17k. who cares what he payed for the car. that should have no bearing on what he sells it for. if that was how buying and selling cars worked, then i shouldnt sell my 94 for more than 2000 cuz i only paid 1100 for it. (i got a steal of a deal by someone who knew NOTHING about em) if this were mine, i would have it between 10,500 and 11,500 simply due to the damage that had to be repaired. good luck with the sale man. its a beautiful example.

maybe because i saw pics from the other owner that were not so good is the reason for my judgment. i sold my white on tan 94 for 26k a couple of years ago with just over 100k miles but had tons of mods on it. i currently own a 95 that has had some body work done to it. i think i know what a car is worth and what a decent price is. there is no rule to a sale of a car, this one is just not for me. good luck with the sale. the car looks better in your pics.

Thanks. It really is a clean car and the previous owner did absolutely nothing to help the sale. Didn't clean it a lick. The car is by no means perfect, but it's cleaner than 95% of the MR2's I've seen and/or driven. Replace the carpet on the drivers side, fix vent issue, and touchup a couple of paint areas in the bumper and this car is REALLY clean. I'll take some more pics of the interior once I get a chance to clean it.

I honestly don't think the PO knew much about the car and thought things were worse than they are. I've driven the car more in the last 4 months than he did in the past 5 years.

As far as price goes, this is about what I've seen other 94T's going for recently, so we'll see what happens.

i hate people who troll threads and discredit an asking price... this car is worth around thsi asking price.. regardless of what he paid for it, and when.

if he bought the car for $300 does that make it worth $300?? props to you if you did but it that low.. you'll be able to make a nice amount on this car.

I've updated the original post to reflect Carfax results. Everything jives with what I was told by the original owner.

Yeah. **** everyone that discredits the seller. It seems like a very reasonable asking price. Usually they go for around this price, if not just a little bit more.

If it'll help anyone out, I'll be driving up to New York within the next couple of weeks (planned for this coming weekend, but I may be delayed a week or two) and I'd be willing to deliver if it's not too far off course.

Bump. Just got back from NY today and will be heading out again next month for good. Another price reduction. I really need to get this baby to a good home. I've got way too many things on my plate right now and this is one of them.

First off I have to check my financials because I am trying to buy a house.

But If it will work for me, will you be driving it up next month when you come back to NY? Rochester is only a couple hours from me.
