Sure is pretty. Way too nice, and too rare a combination, to modify beyond simple bolt-ons. I hope you find a mature buyer who treats this car as well as it has been treated so far.
Thanks Aaron for the nice comment!

I just updated the Texas inspection sticker 12/2010, and installed a Toyota OEM air filter.

May be the nicest, cleanest MR2 I've seen! Looks like a brand new car! Good luck!

Thanks! This car has been for sale for about half a year already, but I've been driving it least twice a week. I just got a Nikon D90, and I'll be taking some new pictures and a video of it soon.

If it doesn't sell around my asking price then I'll just keep driving and maintaining it. I'll probably get the "itch" later to modify and paint it Toyota black 202 inside and out.

Hello, I must say that I am thoroughly impressed with your car. You seem to be the kind of owner I would buy from.

A few questions for you... if it is still for sale.

1. Would she survive the drive to Phoenix, AZ?

2. Any insight as to how she would respond to the AZ heat?

3. Are there any door dings, scratches, chips, etc. that I should know about?

4. Are you the original owner?

5. How is the clutch?

6. Are there any leaks, or concerns I might want to have addressed upon purchase?

7. The interior is shockingly clean. Is everything in working order or are there any points that might need restoration?

Thank you for your answers in advance.

Dude, don't modify that car. If you have the itch to do mods, buy one in lesser condition and fix it up. That is such a near perfect example it should stay unmolested - in the not too distant future, the only MR2's that will remain will all be modified and/or beaten to $h^t with a ton of miles.

You're right, I can just buy a lesser condition one to modify. I'll probably be on the search for a black MR2 next year. I've owned 2 black MR2s in the past, but they had problems with rust. My current MR2 that I have doesn't have that problem since its been in Texas.

1. Yes, it will survive that drive to AZ.

2. I've driven the MR2 in the Houston summer (Hot, Humid, upper 90s), and the a/c is ice cold since I got it fixed.

3. There are two small dings on the upper passenger front wheel, but it is not too noticeable.

4. I am the second owner according to the Carfax report.

5. The clutch feels good, and it feels like the original clutch (compared to the previous MR2s I've owned in the past).

6. There are no leaks that I have found on the MR2. I have changed the valve cover gasket this year too.

7. There are no tears in the seats and the floor mats are OEM new from the 94+ MR2. You can tell by the grommet hole, but the 91-92 floor mats didn't have that on their OEM floor mats.

CONS:
I would probably get a new ashtray, but the one in there works fine (just some small hairline cracks inherit to all of the previous MR2s that I've owned). As for the outside, the power antenna doesn't go up when you turn on the OEM radio. I was thinking about getting the suspension upgraded since it is getting slightly bouncy compared to the previous MR2 that I've owned. I was thinking just OEM stock struts (Blisten I think), but I'll have to check the dealership for those (unless I order it from Aaron). I've been putting it off because the next owner may put their "own" suspension in the MR2.

PROS:
All of the electronics, speakers, a/c, heater, defroster, fog lights/switch works. The glove box and storage compartments are clean and in working order. The turn signals, wipers, cruise control, and ABS work well with no lights on the dash. A clean "blue" Texas title!

If I think of any other things with the MR2, I'll post it. You'd have to see it in person to appreciate it.
