Well it is very hard for me to post this up as I had big dreams for this car…but the cost of rebuilding my ongoing 93T Stroker GT30 project is just too much to bear another project :-( So I have decided to see if there is interest in putting this work of art on the market.

I originally purchased this car with the intent of doing a complete restoration and adjusting the quality/quantity/type of modifications to my personal taste. I am about half way there currently. After swapping everything out, I have been daily driving it for the last couple months now and I simply love it. The car purrs like a kitten, drives like a dream, and corners like its on rails. I am seeing about 22 mpg in the city which is pretty good for the level of horsepower its producing :-D

Features/History:
It started out life as a 1991 Sunroof NA, and was converted to Turbo spec by Josh Boam, the owner of Chico Race Works, out of Chico, California. Pictures of the conversion can be seen here.

Currently the drivetrain has ~25,000 miles on it, and the chassis has ~155k miles on it. The car is running a pristine stock long block with a Greddy TD06, KO/Custom 3” Stainless Steel Exhaust system, K&N intake, MBC, FCD, etc etc, and is putting down 275 whp!! This is adequate for the car to run mid to high 12 second quarter mile, making for an extremely quick car!! Near-stock reliability has been maintained by keeping the motor internals stock, so this motor should have another 200k miles left in her!! A metal head gasket has been added between the stock block and head, to add reliability should you want to really turn up the boost and let her rip. For an extra $1000 I will even give you a dyno sheet with your new car showing that its making *well* over 300 whp ;-)

The only major problems that I have noticed with the car are:
- Driver's window motor is choppy going down. I have looked and the motor-bracket assembly has a torn part in it. The actual motor works fine but the bracket needs replacement
-The car now has side mirrors, they were on order when I took the pics!!
-Speedometer cable is broken but I have a replacement and it will be included with the sale.
-Antenna mast has been shaved the there is a crack in the filler, as well as a spot by the doors, so a couple spots will have to be refilled. You can't notice from a few feet away, however.

**Please note some pictures show different seats, mufflers and spoilers. I have since removed these and they will not be included in the sale of the car. The car has a 3" straight KO SS exhaust, leather seats, and no spoiler.

Beware Buyer....this mr2 is not the same as the one advertise on the link articles given. This is just a replica of that one. This seller is trying to sell you his car for a higher price. If you look carefully at the exhaust you will know what im talking about. The original one, the exhaust comes out on the left rear side. This one its on the right rear side. I know the guy who own the original car and he is not selling his....Its a nice car but not the one in all the show and all the magazine articles.

EDIT: You say you know Mark...if you could please post how to get ahold of him, I know a number of lawyers that would like to speak with him. I've had 3 seperate partys contact me since I put this car up for sale, and tell me Mark stole parts from them. You can PM me the information.


I got some updated pics of the engine bay guys, and yes it is still for sale, the buyer never came thru I also got the new mirrors back from teh body shop and it looks sweeeeeet I'll get some good exterior shots as soon as they lift this car washing ban we have because of the drought!
