Hex editor software
Hi all
I am new to Toyota EFI tuning. I am interested to know which are the best rom (Hex) editor software packages for OBD1 MR2. I would also be interested software or any information for OBD2 IS300 & supra (2JZ). Any info, opinions, links etc would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jeremy |

good luck. there aren't any hex editors for OBDI MR2s. the machine code is embedded in the processor itself, instead of farmed out to external memory like other ECUs. there are no published disassemblers for the toshiba processor, nor any published datasheets. there's one guy over in the UK that's managed to write his own disassembler for them and has hacked them pretty thoroughly and who plans to make ROM boards and a GUI to edit them.
honestly, from what i've read about the ECU's code, i wouldn't bother. tuning capabilities with it will be severely limited due to its hardware. you're better off running MS, nemesis/AEM or retrofitting another programmable ECU. |
