Love the rightup!! I was wondering though. Does anyone want to do this in SoCal that knows how to do everything? I am looking to buy a MR2 really soon and i really want a T-Top. I know picky but whatever. Well if anyone wants to do the swap i would be willing to give you all my manual parts needed for all your auto parts.
It would work backwords I suppose? Tell me what you think. I don't have the space to do it. Bruce |

If you know how to do it and can bring some tools im down for that. Kinda a long wait but it might work. I dont have a car yet but it might make buying a manual a better choise? It would have to be a non-turbo right?

If your using the same engine, does the automatic and manual trannys bolt right up to the engine or do you have buy something else?

^Did you ever get your car started?
I'm going to be doing this on my 91 pretty soon. Is it doable in a day? I pretty much have all the parts. I did need to know if the auto axles work with the manual tranny? Thanks |

Looks like some nice work there mate...
I know it might be a tad off topic, but it looks like you know what your doing when it comes to MR2's I (Well my dad and I) just bought a 91 MK2 a couple of weeks ago, it needs a few things done to it including the gearbox being taken out and a new clutch It's got a crunching sound when you race it into 3rd gear, but if you shift slowly it's fine. Do you think it would be worthwhile stripping down the gearbox and fixing what i'm pretty sure is the sincro mesh, or just buying a 2nd hand gearbox? |

Hey does anyone know if there's a stick for doing a MK1, i kinda would guess it's all basically the same though?
Also, couldn't you connect that sensor for the clutch to the one that senses if it's in park, so that then it'll only start with the clutch in? Or would that be too much work? Last edited by ebouwman; 02-25-2009 at 07:33 PM. |
