Need help on installing FPR on 5sfe!
Im running aftermarket injectors w/ a few mods and my car is running richer than I'd like. I'm guessing that I need to install adj. FPR to cut down the fuel. I already have a Sard FPR, but the thing is when I take the old one off how do I tap into the same hole without the proper bracket? Has anyone done this to a 5s fuel rail??? Any help would be great!

Tapping aluminum for a fuel system can leave you with thin walls. Be careful. If it cracks, you will be spraying flamable fluid all over hot metal.
Another thing of which to be aware. Getting bigger injectors and dropping the fuel pressure is the same thing as having the factory injectors, execpt you usually sacrifice atomization. Why did you get bigger injectors to begin with? |

well I bought them for another bored out engine I have and figured i'd install them. I've since took them out and replaced them with stock ones. Its runs better now. On the end of my fuel rail there is a metal plug the diameter of the rail. I think i could just tap into that. But then I'd have to plug the existing hole w/ something. I know SARD makes a 3S adapter, would that work on my 5S rail u think?

The 5s fuel rail is larger diameter than the 3sgte. If that doesn't create complications it should.

Why don't you find out what size the hole is, use the proper earls adapter and relocate the FPR?

its 11mm unthreaded, the 5sfe regulator is a press in with an o-ring and 2 bolts to hold it down.
it easy just to tap the 11mm hole to 12 x 1.25, then you can put in a fitting before ![]() after ![]() |

im curious what these small supporting mods are, i doubt it's a turbo. anyways dumping more fuel into a stock setup will not yeild hp, it doesn't work that way.

True dat. And just for reference I had about everything done to my 5sfe you could do except the cams and I was good on the stock fuel. I had +0.030" bore, +2mm valves, P&P, headers, exhaust, intake and timing at 13 degrees. It wasn't until I upgraded the cams that I needed to add more fuel and then only on the top end.
