Does anyone have any pics of a TRD FPR installed on a 3SGTE? I am looking for pics of the fuel line routing specifically. I notice that it has 2 "IN" ports. Do you just use 1 and plug the other?

A) Feed the fuel from directly from the fuel filter. Then feed the FPR through one of the inlets from the rail. Plug the other end, then use the third port for your fuel return line or B) Feed the FPR directly from the filter to one of the ports. Then feed the rail from the other port of the FPR. Then use the last one as your drain line. |

Is this the FPR in question?

the 3rd port usually for the pressure gauge... also didn't rickyb posted a better fuel setup by reducing the amount of return line going back to the engine to prevent the fuel from warming up?

Most FPR's come tapped with a 1/8" NPT for a pressure gauge, as well as 3 (or more) inlet ports.
It's to reduce the amount of fuel going through the rail, which heats up the fuel. Which is route B I posted in my original post. Doing it this way would use all three ports on the FPR, instead of blocking one off. |

That's the one.
So is this how I should run the lines? From the fuel filter to an "IN" port and block off the other "IN" port. And the "OUT" port goes into the fuel rail where the stock FPR is? And the vacuum line just goes to the same port on the intake manifold as the stock FPR? I thought the other "IN" port could be used for the gauge, but the gauge won't thread in it - I would need to buy and adapter to make it fit. Last edited by Ben; 02-12-2008 at 12:54 PM.. |

It would be better if you made a line from the fuel filter to the rail. Then from rail to FPR, then from FPR to hardline. Quote:

I figured that the install/line routing would be the same for the TRD one? And fuel inlet would be from the filter and the return to the rail ? |

No.

Yes. The return line is going to go from the bottom port on the FPR to the hardline by the coolant neck. |

Sorry Sang, this is something so basic that it is hard
I drew this diagram and just looking at it is losing me. How would I feed the fuel rail?![]() |

you put a T between the filter and fpr if your regulator doesn't have the port

Thanks Sang, I had this thing in my head where it had to go to the FPR before the fuel rail.

In my picture, it's diagrammed the way it came from the factory. You could have it go through the fpr first, but then you'll need a T fitting and another hose.

One last question
![]() If I were to route this the way RickyB does here, would the gauge be accurate if I mounted it where the plug on the fuel rail is? ![]() |

Or does the gauge have to be in between the FPR and fuel rail to be accurate in RickyB's way above?

Would there be a problem in having the FPR on the right of the stock fuel rail and the plug on the left? Basically running the fuel backwards in the rail? Or is the stock rail chambered to flow in one direction?
I am going to route another board members FPR like RickyB's diagram. ![]() Last edited by Ben; 03-14-2008 at 01:56 PM.. |
