That's wicked! I just bought all the pieces for the exact same setup Only problem for me is that I can't put the 94 tails on yet since I still need to get the rear end fixed. Car got hit so many times while the last owner had it and now the old tails actually bent to fit the busted up rear end.

Ummm... Yeah... I knew someone was going to ask that eventually.

    Ok, kids, here we go...

    Grand Total: $5,206.90
After giving me a break since I order practicly everything they had for the SW20 and a military discount (Veteran)...

    What I paid: $4,776.63

Now I'm sure that some are going to throw tomatos at me for buying lights that cost almost as much as I initially paid for the car itself. But hey, I wanted 'em, could afford 'em... so I bought 'em. I also believe you get what you paid for. What I wanted were lights that looked like they came with the car, but with a little something extra to set the car off. Since they start off with OEM Toyota lights, you know that the lights are of good quality. (they dont look like they were bought from AutoZone... not saying there is anything wrong with that ) And since they do not stock anything, everything is made to order. That was good because I loved the lights they had on the site, I just didnt really care for the tripple lines in the turn signals. I thought that I was stuck with the tripple lines. When I told Clear Corners that I was not really a fan of the turn signals, they asked me, "..So how do you want them?" I thought that was the ish! Long story short, I may of paid a little more... but I got EXACTLY what I wanted! Ok, feel free to throw a tomato or two.

    Nice!

By the way, this is the before pic of my 2. I bought it in March on leave and only installed a stereo and an MRS steering wheel. When I get home, it's getting painted all black. I miss my car!

Pretty straight looking and I like the rims. Let me know when you are back in town, I'll def want to see those tails in person. By the way, did you get the cruise working with the MRS wheel?

Thanks. Yeah, I got the cruise to work with the MRS wheel. The wheel did not have the cruise cont. stick (joy stick... what ever) in it, so I reused the one from the original wheel. I'll be back in Nov.

That's what I said! They look great but too expensive! The problem u hav with LEDs is that sometimes 1 light goes and it looks weird cuz on light is off! Say I got the tail light from clear corners and the middle LED for the turning signal goes??? It's gonna look obvious that it's missing lmao. How easy is it to replace that one led???

Well, the LEDs that ClearCorners use are high quality LEDs. LEDs are like anything else, you can get good quality, expensive ones... Or you can get sketchy quality, cheap ones. The LEDs that ClearConers uses are pretty high quality and bright as hell. Since they are bright by nature, Clear Corners uses a pretty low foward bias to activate them. (In other words, they are not pushed anywhere near their limits) This means that the likelyhood of them "burning out" is pretty slim. When they first started making lights for the NSX, they got some complaints that they were too bright. (Can't imagine that, but look it up on the NSX forums) Ever since, they under drive their LEDs. If they were using the cheap stuff, they most definitly have to push them till they burn out.

To answer you question about getting them fixed. They have a 1 year defect free warrenty on them, but if they do burn out (which is not likely) all you have to do is send them in. Dont know how much a repair is. But I'll bet your wheels will fall off before the lights go.

yea even crappy LEDs have a pretty good life span as long as they arent given the correct voltage... but still... I have to ask... why spend 5K on those when all youve done to the car so far is a steering wheel and some wheels? I mean thats more then enough dough to put in a gen 3 and mod the crap outta it

...and I thought some of my "unnecessary" "over priced" mr2 purchaces were crazy lol

True but I on the other hand already have a a gen 3 engine engine with crazy mods. I think I'm satisfied with the performance now I just want it to look as good as it drives! Still shaky about the price though!

What I should of said is that was all I had TIME to do while I was home on leave. The car is in the shop right now being tuned to an inch of it's life and getting all new suspension. After that, next stop is the body shop to be painted black. I also forgot to mention the leather interior conversion I did on leave as well. (which didn't turn out as good as I hoped) But I'll get it how I want it when I get back. The lights were actually the last thing I bought.

Man, I'm just trying to be like you on the performance front! I agree, once you have the performance where you want it, the lights are final touch.

As far as the price... well, I have to admit, that was a hard pill to swallow... But Its my toy, so what the hell.

damn I wish I had enough $$$ to do everything at once like that...
Ive had mine 4 years now and Im just getting to that stage, I didnt even drive it for the first 2 years as I wanted to dump all my money into the car instead of into insurance and gas - now that took some will power (its my first car)

next step is either rebuild motor or ct27 over the winter

Wow, the MR2 is your first car? NICE!!! As far doing everything all at once.... yes and no... I had a '91 T about 11 years ago that was bone stock. I was even rock'n the 14" wheels. It was stock the whole time I owned it. I dreamed of doing all kinds of stuff to it, but sold it to get my pilot's license to further my career. Now that I'm a little older and have some money now, I just decided to ape-shit!

Damn, this is your first car too? Wow. The MR2 was like my forth car back in the day. But I keep forgetting that was like 15 or 16 years ago. Man I'm getting old! The MR2 was so far ahead of its time that the shape still looks modern to this day! So its easy to forget how old these cars really are.

Is that your 2 in your avatar? Do you have a full size pic of it?
