I love those sprites! Only ever seen pics a few times, but they look so cool! Although i don't totally like the idea of bastardizing an import by adding a big american engine, i do think that in this case it may be a good idea, in terms of replacing an old english engine (read terrible).

Maybe those engines are better than they get a rap for, but i've never heard of a british engine that was ever described as "solid" or "reliable"

So the MR2 is up for sale and its EVO time!!
Ya i heard that it snowed in calgary about a month ago, or was that edmonton? I found that my MR2 wasn't that bad in winter, although i've never winter driven mine in a big city like calgary...

British engines aren't generally very reliable, and I don't really care to keep the stock 948cc, 43hp engine. Back in the day, it topped out at 82.9mph (yes, they seriously measured the speed down to a 10th of a mph), and it went 0-60 in 20.9 seconds. That's slow on an epic level.

I'd ultimately like to get a ****** example, with a straight body, and make a CF or Fiberglass copy of the whole body, then tube-frame it, add custom double wishbone suspension, add 400hp engine, and then profit. :P

Bug eye sprites always look happy and high on life or something front on.

The British had horrible engine ideals, restrictive exhausts and undersized intakes to name 2 major things they did 100% of the time.

At least its a happy car, some cars are all emo and sad all the time like this:

Oh exactly!

Maybe a nice yellow, or blue for color and the chicks would be dripping off you and your car

Yeah, I'd totally have to paint mine yellow.

Only problem is I'd actually have to put an interior in it, and make it reasonably quiet.

I would get on ebay and try to find a deal on a '93 RX7. Aside from that, you'd have a fight on your hands if you made me get rid of my MR2.
