Pardon my trolling your thread, but I think you should care because "aftermarket euro/altezza tails" are a disgrace to the community of serious tuners. The only thing that screams "rice" louder than those tail lights is a big nasty aluminum wing... or maybe neon green or pink paint.... or maybe lambo doors.

It's not too late to replace them.

Just a thought.

wow you guys are seriously too judgemental. People modify their cars for their own enjoyment and pleasure and take pride in what they do. If it's not to your liking, then move on. I'm sure everyone's car has something on it that others don't "approve" of...

Car is bone stock, But I still get complaints......mainly 240 and civic drivers, I actually had a guy tell me the the side scoops on my car were.....

All I'm getting at is that I wish someone had told me that the cherry-bomb "muffler" I replaced my original with on my first car (an 1988 Accord) was a disgrace. I might have come to my senses and taken the thing off.

I don't even think you can classify euro eBay tail lights as a modification: Vandalism and Defacing seem more appropriate to me. Just my opinion (and perhaps the opinion of 99% of tuners) I suppose.

Maybe there is some light i may shed on this discussion..

This is how I look at tuning,

There is the EARLY 90s tuning,(Mainly honda) and FWD cars Which consist of fake carbon fiber or carbon stick on, fake fender vents or after market fenders that dont line up at all, cheap body kits that are horrible, fake hood scoops or badly designed hoods with scoops, flat faced non-offset chrome rims,big ol' stupid wing, fart-cans, ebay side mirrors, altezza tails or headlights, ebay projector head lights, cutting springs making your car a buggie bouncer, lambo doors, big old stupid sound systems, color match spray can interior panels, neon, fast and furious vinyls or bright ass painted non gloss cars, dual exhaust on a 4 cylinder unless factory, special badges like vtec/SI/gt/cobra/turbo/etc when car is clearly not, etc...etc...etc you know where I'm Going with this.


The 20th century tuning.....big and badder turbos, carbon fiber everything, smooth line matching lip kits that complement the cars body lines, HID(non fairy colors), leather, bigger and badder swaps, nice clean paint, JDM rare parts, staggered/off set/cambered/mean A$$ wheels,cat-back high performance exhaust, shaved, MID engine/RWD/Sex. etc...etc...etc...You get it.

Thats my outlook....

i dont do ebay on anything.. so far, the exhaust is apexi N1 Evolution exhaust i pulled from my crx si i had few years bk, the tail lights i ordered from UK .. so ya i might get complaint, but i love the tailights, there called Rev6 tailights, honestly i make my car the way i want it, if i listen to what others say, it wouldnt be my car, now would it?... anyways im not done with exterior, but whats on it, is staying.. i have a wing.. ima put on after i paint it.. i think those air dams that are made for the mr2, looks ugly.. so i aint ever gona have those.. im thinkin of doing custom lambo air dams for my mr2, the exhaust is gona be moved to passenger side for a more straight flow, but i like my exhaust so im keeping it

different people have different taste. not everyone is going to agree on anything, religion (or lack of), race, language, style, let alone modifications to cars that show their personality and their taste. thats the beauty of the world and being open minded. insulting someone by telling them what they do is a "disgrace" is completely rude, and uncalled for. Maybe you didn't mean it so harshly, but it comes across like that... live and let live, if you dont have anything constructive to say, dont say it at all. Nobody wants to be part of a community where they're going to be insulted for anythign that they do that is out of the norm or different.

If what I'm saying sounds rude or harsh, that's not my intention. In my mind "those disgraceful taillights should be taken off of your car" seems very much constructive. I'm just being honest here.

I'm sure Mr. Rice here is perfectly capable of accepting or not accepting critisism. Why should I not tell him I think his taillights look retarded? Everybody else who sees them thinks the same thing but doesn't have the decency to try and steer him in a less ridiculous direction.

Nobody said you can't have an opinion. There are more polite ways of stating your opinion. The words you chose are insulting and rude and harsh. There's not much else to say on the topic.
