another tranny question

Ok, I've just abou given up on this, but I've searched everywhere, and I'm either blind a dummy or I simply can't find it. Can any one point me in the direction of where I can find a manual on how to drop the transmission on a 91 Turbo?? I got the repair manual, but it doesn't say how to drop it, it explains everything else, but how to remove it, please help, I'm trying to get the work going on this car, and get back on the road.

Thanks in advance.

Also if you have access to a hoist see if you can get a hold of a gearbox jack, seriously it makes this job bliss I could do a clutch in one afternoon with time to spare using one of those and a hoist. Not something people just have laying around but they are so awesome it almost made me feel better how easy it was when I blew my mkII gearbox

If you don't have a hoist or can get a gearbox jack then nevermind back to the backyard method.

I have access to lifts, jacks, and other tools, so hopefully this will be done in an afternoon, but since it's my first transaxle drop it'll take me a couple of days, headaches, and broken bolts.

just took the tranny out, and there was a Spec clutch, that was previously installed, and was complete dust. The Flywheel has been resurfaced for the very last time, according to the shop, clutch was replaced, but flywheel was never resurfaced, just mounted on, which explains some vibrations on the shifter. I have picture of the scared flywheel, and I'll post them up as soon as I can. I can't continue work, due to it being in the base's hobby shop, and their days and hours are very limited, so it's on a lift, and tranny is not as heavy as I thought, but its heavy.

stuff is getting deeper. It appears my rear main bearing seal has gone bad, and one of the holes on the left hub is stripped, the speed/abs sensor cable on the left side is also broken, and more bolts appear to be missing from the tranny, and motor mounts. Who ever said when buying an MR2 it'll take you 10k or more on maintenance to get it back up and running, was definately not lying.
Flywheel also turned out to be bad, and the shop I took it to said it was good to go, they didn't know it was a 2 step, and only re-surfaced the center, a new center has also been ordered to replace the disk.

UPDATE- the 2 is back together, now awaiting, readjusting of the pass axle seal, it's been almost a year since the car has been down and out... Lessons learned, new bolts for the pressure plate, since one snapped off, but didn't have enough time to drill it out, so I know I'll have trouble later... greater news release bearing of a 91 Celica 3S does not fit on a 91T MR, it appears the donut hole is smaller, also I'll have to replace the release fork later, but this time I'll be more prepared for more repairs at a later time... and I know that it would last longer if I had more time and fixed the small details, but I just ran out of time, and soon money to get it back up and running.... I still need to replace the axle seal, and it should be ready for now...
