Its one of the Heater hard lines if its comming from up above the tank.....
AFAIK, the tank has to come out to change either one. They are not cheap either.. Although not on an MR2, I have sucessfully repaired one by cutting out the bad section and sweeting in a piece of coper pipe just like making a plumbing connection in copper piping. |

Yep, same thing that i pointed out.... As a much cheaper temporary fix, you could run long lengths of heater hose (from local parts house) instead of buying new hard metal line...... I've continplated doing this with stainless lines done low next to main water pipes cause on the car that I just bought for the miss's cause the one's are hers are oval'd and kinked really bad in the engine bay connections are.... Like Aaron Said in the thread you linked, they are not a common thing to go out. this is especially true if you are in a northern (colder climate) where the heater gets used more and as long as you are running a proper coolent mixture. I've seen them and heater cores alike to be more likely to get leaks in them down here in florida do to the heater not being used all that much and water/coolent sitting stagnent for long periods of time. The other thing that has to be taken into account is that things tend to deterierate rater slowly so although he hasn't really sold any or many, sale might start to pick up in the future for certain items like these cause of the slow deterieration rate (i.e. problems comming with age).... |

Right and left on all parts is as view while looking forward from drivers seat.. Basically if you have LHD (left hand drive) car (i.e. cars here in north america), then left side is drivers side and right hand is passanger side.
as for toyota illistrated diagrams, left side of illistration is front of car and right side of illistration is rear of car. Because of people ofter confusing left and right depending on which way they are viewing things, its best to always refer as passanger side and drivers side. |
