    Exclamation Driver window stuck down

My drivers window is stick down and every time I try to roll it up all I hear is the motor, but the window is still stuck at the down position. So I bought a used regulator here on the forum and took out the old one and it looked exactly the same... Both teeth were in good condition, and I tested the motor with the regulator our of the door frame and it works flawlessly.

But when I reconnect everything back into the door the window would still not roll up. What could the issue be here?

if the regulator is good and the motor works up/down then your problem is most likely in the window track. Try working the glass up and down in the track with it unbolted from the regulator.

i thought this was the issue too! but turns out i may have popped it out of the track when i tried to remove the regulator. i popped it back in and it slides up and down when i reinstalled the regulator and motor, yet the problem persists.

i know wires breaking in the door harness loom is a common problem, but u said the motor works up and down so its getting power. hmm i dunno man, if its not the motor, regulator, track, or wiring theres nothing else there lol

I was talking to my cousin and he brought up that when I tested the motor, it wasn't being load tested of the weight of the window. Could this also be true? I just tested the regulator and motor by itself without applying load to te regulator itself.

As for the track, it seems fine when I popped it back in, rolling down and assisting the motor by pushing it up, it glides right through.

so i finally got a new window motor from RockAuto and it was definitely the motor. seems like it was giving out or weak.
