Yes the rear brakes are bigger.

It might be easier to just swap the whole strut and hub assy's if they are in good condition. Only potential problems I see is if one of the vehicles has ABS and/or an LSD and the other doesn't. (ABS prop valve and MC are different, I think rear LSD hubs are different)

To my understanding 91-95 NA's all had the same brakes, 91-92 turbo's had larger front calipers and 93-95 turbo's had larger rotors and calipers than any other MR2.

So all you need are the calipers and off you go? No need for the master cylinder and other brake components?

no... everything is a direct bolt on and works from there...

if you go from N/A to turbo, everything works fine, fundamentally. but i strongly suggest picking up the master cylinder too. i mean toyota designed it that way for a reason

I upgraded my 91T brakes to 93 spec and I just changed calipers, mounting brackets, rotors, and pads.

I need to update my master cylinder. My pedal is a little squishy and I guess my rear brake bias is off.

i had to bleed my brake like 6 times... i'd try it again before replacing.

i don't imagine 91T to 93T being much different

It is quite a bit different.

My brakes work, they lock, they just feel a bit squishy. Ive bled em 4 times already, get nothing but fluid. It isnt bad, or unsafe, just I want a bigger MC.

The proportioning valve would also be a good idea. I don't know if there's a difference in the prop valve between the '91T and the '93+T but there is a large difference between NA and T. In fact I think I'm going to ask Aaron about that.

Umm, I disagree. 91-95 NA are the same. The 91-92 turbo had bigger disks up front and a two piston caliper. 93+ had and even bigger disks up front and bigger two piston calipers. If you tried to put a 93T front rotor on a 91-92T or any year NA, the dust shields would rub the rotor.

Brian, I think what he meant to say is its an easy swap and the later model better turbo brakes will bolt up to any MK2.

He should have put in there that you need the mounting brackets, and preferrably dust shields (although you CAN bend the smaller ones back. I did) and the pads are different part numbers too.
