TRD part numbers

I've been looking around the forum for TRD part numbers and I pretty much have all the part numbers I'm looking for. The thing is I got one set of part numbers and then I got a different set of part numbers. I guess one is U.S. and the other is Japan? What I'm curious to know is that if either part number is punched in will it bring up the same part? Also I called my local dealership to get these parts, they had to special order them, but all the parts were ordered exept for the rear sway bar which was unavailable at the time, and the TRD shifter which is back ordered. The part numbers I gave them were the U.S ones I'm assuming, because they were able to identify the part. But when I gave them the part number for the coilover kit(48000-SW270) it was the only part they couldnt find. So that must be the foreign part number or something. So does anyone have the U.S. part number for the coilover kit. Thanks

With a TRD Japan PN, it will not exist in a dealership's computer system until it has been manually added in. If that is a valid part number in the TRD Bible, they can order it (if they know how to order from TRD Japan). But they will not know the price until they get it in, then they will mark it up. It's going to be expensive, as in the thousands range.

For the coilovers, no less than 3K, I suspect.

The TRD Coilovers have been discontinued and have to be special ordered. Also, these coilovers are really really stiff. There are other alternatives you might want to consider. Here is the info from one of my previous posts:

H&R's are around $950
Silk Road's $1500
Not sure about Kei b/c they are hard find (check the boards, you might get lucky. If I remember correctly jspec.com sells them, don't quote me though)
Zeals too expensive for me, never bothered to find the price you might be able to find some used on the f/s forums
JIC's FLT A2 $1800
K Sport $1200
Cusco Zero-2 $2150
Cusco Zero-2R $2500 (great reviews on the Cuscos)

Here are some other brands that make coilover kits too: Apex'i (special order), KW Suspension, Buddy Club ($1700 i think), HR (might not be for SW20), Toda Racing (appx. $2800), Invidia $1700, and Tein.

You can usually find some good set ups and their respective owner's opinions by the search, maybe a set of lightly used ones if you are lucky and don't mind getting one used. I would've gone with the Silk Roads if I had the extra money to spend. Although rare, you might be able to find some used (maybe even new) TRD Coilovers. But it all depends on what you are looking for: track/dd/etc.
