Nope, the short blocks include the pistons already installed. Your best best is to find one used. Even with the cost of shipping it will still be cheaper than a new short block from Toyota.

I suppose that all depends on the cost of shipping. A new GenII 3SGTE Shortblock from Toyota USA is only ~$1450US wholesale.
