There are small braces that tirangulate the lower front of the engine bay betwwn the side rakes and firewall. The pic is one of those braces. Rplace both sides, I don't have the part numbers but you should be able to find pics in partznet.com. The bars should be easy to replace one bolt at each end. Just be sure to spend a 2 or 3 days hitting them with BP Blaster to losten up the rust before you put a wrench on them.

That kind of rust very common in midwestern cars - with road salt we rot them from the bottom up.
