I like them, but they arent that great for fade. My car fades with them on. I havent upgraded lines or fluid though.

When I ran my NA at Barber's, I had OEM rotors, pads, and lines. I was running Motul RB600 brake fluid and I didn't have any fade, and that's a rough track on brakes. I put right at 200 miles on the track that day. The carbotech pads stop much faster than the OEM, but I didn't have a problem with fading while using the upgraded brake fluid.

Interesting Noc.

No rotor shimmy or nothing?

Are you saying that you didnt warp your brakes while there and you were doing some pretty hardcore braking on them?

It was a completely new set of pads and rotors. I'm still running on those rotors daily. It put some pretty good grooves in them, but I had them resurfaced without any problems. Perhaps I'm the exception and not the rule. I did wail on them that day, and they got so hot that the plastic center caps on my wheels fell out because they shrunk from the heat while it was parked.

Personally I hate OEM pads. They don't stop worth crap compared to a decent aftermarket set. I thought there was something wrong with my brakes after I went back to OEM.

well this will be a ressurrection and a half by the looks of the date. But i want to be 10000 percent sure.. I'm about to pay some good money for a 1993 GTS from an importer but it needs front brake rotors and pads badly. So if I go to my local toyota dealership and order brakes for a 1993 MR2 Turbo (USDM), then the parts will fit? Are there any exceptions to this rule and does anyone know if the month the vehicle was built has any effect on anything? Thanks a million

Question

why do 93-95 NA rear rotors have a different part number than 91-92 NA rear rotors?

91-92 - 42431-17040

93-95 - 42431-17060

The old one could have been discontinued and replaced with the new number.
