Hi, I'm parting out a gen 4 ST215 3SGTE engine. Let me explain the reason of this.
I bought this engine on September 2006. I installed it in March 2007. The engine started for the first time on June 2007 (hard time messing with Megasquirt to make it run and school and girlfriend... you know all of this...). I begin the tuning of the Megasquirt all the 2007 summer without succes (it was my first swap, first turbo car, first EMS conversion... a great challenge). I stored the car for the winter and I was able to run it ok on April 2008. But while I was running it, I heard rod knock... So, I removed the engine and I found that I had crankwalk (this was resolving my "engine die when I press clutch" problem). So, I bring the block to the machinist and he said the block was toasted because the crankshaft ground on the shoulder where the trust bearing sits. So, unable to put new trust washer = need a new engine. So, I came at the JDM engine importer and I found another gen4 engine. I swapped all my previous mods on it : t3/t4 turbo, downpipe, modified coolant neck, custom engine harness for Megasquirt, EDIS ignition system etc. So, now, I have a really good working engine swap. But, I have a lot of parts from the old engine laying here. I'm pretty sure that I can get some money of them because these parts are great upgrade for gen 3 or even gen 2 engine. I'll get part number if necessary. Like this, you will be able to compare to yours and check if it fit or not. I know what parts fit gen 3 and what fit gen 2. You can trust me on those, I know a lot about gen 4 engine and parts. The engine come from a 1999 Toyota Caldina GT-T with approx 60 000 miles on it (according to the JDM importer). So, here's the list with price and pics : - CT20B turbo with cast one-piece turbine housing/manifold. For the price, I'll include all oil lines (feed/return), downpipe and water lines. This will bolt up to any gen 3 engine. It will require modification to the downpipe because the gen 4 O2 sensor is different than gen 3 one. Very slight to no shaft play. I'll try to post a video of shaft play. I'm asking 600$ + shipping. ![]() ![]() - Gen 4 A/C compressor, asking 40$ + shipping ![]() - Gen 4 alternator, asking 100$ + shipping ![]() - Gen 4 misc. items : water pump, thermostat. Send me an offer for these. Please note that I live in Quebec, Canada. So, the shipping rates may be high. I will only take Paypal payment. I will try to get a shipping quote as soon as possible, but please, be patient. All items will be shipped by USPS or Canada post. There is no "plastic" water neck. The only water neck is the "inlet" water neck that is connected to the waterpump. I'm not sure but I think that the outel waterneck (the one with coolant temp sensor on it) is already sold. I'll verify that.
Please, show me a picture of what you want. Thanks sam |

If you had bearing failure, that oil cooler is likely junk. If it is installed on another engine, it will kill it in short order as bearing debris lodges in it and then flows out into the fresh motor causing new bearing failure. I've never been able to get one clean after bearing failure no matter what was tried. I think a lot of people don't know this and it explains a lot of the mysterious repeat failures people have.
Not trying to rain on your efforts here, just FYI. Lots of good parts for sale here. Do you have the valve cover? GLWS. |

plz, do not delete this thread, keep it there. I'm sorry if I do not answer you sooner, it's because I went to a trip in Cuba last week.
So, thanks for the tip about the oil cooler, you are right about, I simply never though about it before selling it. For the valve cover, yes I have it, but I'm selling it with the head. I will not separate the head and the valve cover in the sale. Thanks Sam |

Hello,
I would like to buy the oil cooler and hoses from you. Do you still have them. I am currently working on my MR2 and my oil cooler is not good any more. Can you help? Alvaro |

yes I have both (thermostat side and waterneck w/ sensors side). But you need to know that these came from a Caldina chassis, not an MR2 chassis, so, maybe you'll need to rearrange your hoses to make it fit correctly. I'll send you some pics this weekend!
