93+ turbo brakes for sale
Item Location: ATS RAcing - Denton TX I have at least two sets of these. These are 93+ turbo brakes off a JDM Turbo MR2. They will fit any 91-95 US MR2. You will need to bend, trim, cut, or remove your dust shields.
$400 obo shipped (inside the US). Canadian shipping adds $160 (Sorry guys, if you want to question it, go to USPS.com and estimate shipping from the US to Canada for two 60 lb boxes). Also available without rotors for $350 shipped (inside the US) or $450 shipped to Canada. As a bonus I also have several front hubs sets with the larger dust shield installed. They are $70 shipped inside the US (most of that cost is shipping). Paypal to atsaaron@atsracing.net Please put what you want in the notes. Thanks, Aaron |

Quick question. Do you need a 93+ Master cyl. to make this work on a 91?

They work fine with 91 master cylinders. But the 93+ does have a little more volume and will give you a firmer pedal feel. Personally I think it's easier to modulate the brakes when using the 91 master cylinder so I have never switched to the 93+ master cylinder.

If you have a 91/92 turbo already, you dont necessarily need to change the master cylinder, but you might want to get your hands on a 93+ turbo, or any year NA proportioning valve.

Hi Aaron, I just have a question. I have a na to turbo swap, I got the '92 turbo brakes installed but I need more braking power. From what I read the '93+ share the same calipers just different hubs, rotors and mounting brackets correct?
If I'm correct I'll just need hubs, rotors and the mounting brackets, so do you have some '93+ brackets? |

You got it backward actually sir.
93+ share same hubs but different calipers, brackets and dust shields. You need those to do the conversion. When I did mine I just bent my dust shields back and out of the way as they dont clear the larger rotors either. |

The fronts are just over 10.75 inches in diameter and are almost 1.25 inches THICK. That gives them a lot of thermal mass to absorb heat.
The rears are 11 inches in diameter and just over .75 inches thick. Brad Bedell's 91T with 93 brakes set (and I think still holds) the Sport Compact Car 60-0 distance record. Ironically he lost points in the "engineering" part of the challenge because his brakes were "stock" even though he out stopped EVERYONE. haha. Aaron |
