The 5sfe does not use a gasket.
some places sell it but i guarantee you it will leak like hell.
the oil pan is sealed with Toyota FIPG
the part number is 00295-00103
its gonna cost you like 10 something at the toyota dealer.

yes its like a sealant. The FIPG stands for (formed-in-place-gasket)

just because some places sell gaskets dosent mean ur car uses it.

If the pan and block are properly cleaned the Toyota stuff should work perfectly. You also need to allow at least 24 hours before putting oil in or starting the engine.

Are you dead set on giving me problems tonight, this is the second post you are giving me $hit on.

I very generously cleaned the pan and block and let the car sit and dry for almost three whole days before continuing with the fill up and drive.

I have been working on cars for ten years, been thought by my grandfather(40yrs exp)and my dad(22yrs exp)..

I don't half a$$ serious matters like a engine leak..I did the sealant right the first time and for some reason it leaked, But also in my case the previous owner of the car kept all his receipts of it being worked on at the dealership he purchased it from. And the oil pan was fixed almost a year(about 70k on the car)ago and it started leaking on me about two months after I bought it. So that doesn't make me fully trust just sealant on the oil pan.

Read the time stamps. I posted my comment here before I posted on the G35 subject. I'm sorry you feel that I am giving you problems. Congrats you have turned wrenches for 10 years. In the past 8 years I have worked on more MR2's than you have seen in person so I believe my knowledge is welcomed on this forum.

I'm not going to argue with you over me giving someone advice on personal experience.

Just don't quote my statements and try to void my input.

stop arguing boyy no one care about ur exp. people here just want help and advice.
the toyota sealant should work awesome alone.
i bought the gasket and had leaks everywhere!
did the gasket with sealant less leak but the same crap.
found out it used no gasket so i cleaned everything nicely put the FIPG and thats it!

Please don't call me boy, I would appreciate that and your statement is hypocritical, you said no one cares about my experience only give advice, then you turn around a post your personal experience with the oil pan...

Come on think before you post...My statement was advice. What works for one person may not work for another, I was not saying that the sealant doesnt work, I was stating it did not work for me.{ADVICE}

Do I just wipe it dry clean and neat, or do I have to buy any cleaner or stuff?? I want to make this a 1 shot thing coz the car is my daily. Thank you for all the info guys'

Wipe it with a clean rag, make sure no old sealant is left on the block or on the pan, and dont over tighten the bolts.
