apexi rev/speed meter

was thinking about getting a rev/speed meter just for reassurance, the quarter mile function and just anohter way of monitering.....question is...the harness says its universal.....and i know for a fact it wont' be long enouhg from the ecu to my front seat.....what are your opionons on this? does anyone know anything about this harness....i have a 1mzfe...would this harness they have even have a possibility of working with my ecu at all? should i just simply call apexi directly and ask them? what are your thoughts....appreciate anything you guys can tell me thankx

I don't know about the RSM, but the SAFC-II's cables were just BARELY long enough run from my ECU to my ashtray where I mounted it.

Perfect fit in there by the way. You just have to fabricate a little bracket behind it and it looks very clean there.

As far as being universal, yes, the unit itself is a "one-size-fits-all" so to speak and the wiring on the units is very straightforward. Apexi's manuals are pretty good.

Just remember, that RSM's (especially the Apex'i) are not known for being 100% accurate so don't take what they display as "gospel". Think of them as a very expensive, albiet pretty, rough guessing machine.
