ok, Im listening. I just figured this one is made for a 350 at 5500 rpm so 3.4L at 8000rpm should be fine.

I'm have a set of those eBay headers, and I'm going to be using B-pipe back of an old Apexi GT Spec. I'm curious how obnoxiously loud it's going to be.... might have to find a used silencer for it.

i used the stock muffler/cat ones and it was way to rasphy, im not the only one who suffered from this, it realy needs a resonator no matter what exhaust you pic

i don't like how non newest gen domestic v8's sound.
the odd-firing pattern gives them the rediculously low quality idle (with any cam), it causes them to mis-fire at anything short of wide open throttle. and domestic's are no better than ricer's. they run pure exhaust, one muffler, nothing to kill over-tones & raspyness in the exhaust. If a ford could spin more than 5000rpm without flying apart, and they had less reciprocating mass. they'd sound like two honda's parked next to each other. Really... |

Im not sure that agree with that, but anyway. I think that if we could fit a resonator in there somewhere it might sound pretty good. I think that running the camaro muffler is one of the cheapest ways to get a better flowing exhaust. I am not a fan of raspiness.

Im about half way done with my prototype muffler setup. Looks roughly stock (single muffler) but flows much better, as it is internally a strait 3" > dual 3" exhaust (same layout of the TKO / Berk exhausts, just all housed in a large custom muffler). I designed it around my needs for best possibly flow (mine will be the same, just at least 4" inlet pipe, with possibly complete 4" internals), but with the least amount of noise. I hope to have them for sale sometime in June.

with the way things are going, everyone is going to be able to buy everything for a v6 swap and it will take 12 hours to do the swap. I may have to take a loan out to finish my project but I like the idea of not having to trust parts that I made, ha ha.

Is it possible to re-use the camry/es300 y-pipe,put in a slight bend, then slap a rice pipe on the end as a temp fix ? I was thinking that or cut the y-pipe leaving the flanges and about three inches of pipe and making my own y-pipe.
