s54 axles

I have axle issues, well sort of. I bought a s54 and and want to use the auto axles for two reasons 1) I'm cheap, 2) Dont need to make a mount for the 3vzfe. Since the axles on the transmisson where cut right of when it was removed. I'd gladly buy manual axles if they wheren't 400 bucks. I noticed the manual has a mount with a bearing like those used in FWD cars to help with torque steer by making the axles the same length. I don't think thats really needed on a rwd car. I havent measured them yet with different trans but I would imagine they'd be the same length, but I don't have complete manual axles to compare. What are your guys opinion, I might just try the auto axles and if they don't work I'll have go with the manuals.

On a side note I still have the v-6 auto axles from the camry and they are way meatier. I'm almost afraid the s54 axles will break at least when compared side by side, the s54 axles looks skinny and weak.

PS I don't remember now but I can use the s54 flywheel with the v-6, I don't need a v-6 flywheel for the 3vz, you only need v-6 flywheel on 1Ms correct? Any spacers needed????

Thanks levi, what I meant is the auto axles from the auto trans originally on the mr2 does not have the mount and bearing like the 5-speed axles does. It's just one long axle, it doesnt seperate into a two piece axle with a short outer axle and that mount that bolts to the engine. But then again my car also came with the 2.0 n/a motor and 2.2L valve covers, hehe lol

All MK2 NAs are like this, 5spd or auto. Only the turbo cars have the two part RH axle and carrier bearing. And yes, AFAIK, its only to reduce torque steer where the E153 was used with the V6 in FWD applications.

Also, I don't recall anyone having any issues running the NA axles- I believe MR2greasemonkey has been running them on his supercharged 5VZ without problems for awhile now...
