Should i get this MK3?

HI, i am interested in purchasing a 2001 Mr2. I currently have a Mr2 turbo. I saw a spyder about half a mile from my house. I went to see it and the car is in great condition, and running great. Then i ask about the title and he tells me that it is a rebuilt title and they want 8000. It was a front wreck and they tell me it was fixed by toyota, i can see the welds from the repair and it is also repainted. Also when i went and looked in the frunk all the plastics are gone and i can see the floor. With the plastics removed are you supposed to see the street/floor?. Is the price too high? Should i consider or walk away? Thanks

My Google Map

There are 2 main pieces to the front plastics under the funk hood. The cover trim that provides the finished look and the bin itself that holds the spare tire - full of soda in the picture (the bin also has a hinged plastic lid normally).

If both are missing you can see the ground.

As far as buying it I'll let someone else answer to the overall damage repairs advice.

There is also a "diaper" under the open area. I think I'd contact who ever did the repair work and ask a LOT of questions.

8k for a salvage title is too high unless you intimately know the seller. Seeing the welds are not good. At minimum, they should have ground them and paint/prepped them.

Check out spyderchat.com for some decent deals on MR spyders.
